I was tasked to present our 3rd Quarter team stats, together with members from other departments. Since our organization is known for quirky events, the presentation had to be just as fun. The idea was not only to share what we’ve achieved this term, but also to connect with each other in a playful way, hence the Carnival theme.
We had 20 stats to show, and instead of doing the usual slide-by-slide talk, I proposed turning the whole thing into a game. I wanted something interactive so people wouldn’t just zone out after hearing a bunch of numbers. So I came up with a Monopoly-inspired board concept, which we customized to fit our corporate setting. I also simplified the gameplay since we only had 10 minutes per audience group.

The flow was simple: first 2 minutes, we presented the stats using visuals. After that, visuals were hidden and we jumped into the game for the remaining 7 minutes. The audience was split into two teams, each with a captain. Once the stats were done, the visuals disappeared, so they had to rely on memory.

Each team took turns rolling the dice and moving their boat piece forward. Depending on where they landed, they could gain an advantage or a setback. If they got a question right, they moved an extra space. But if they landed on “Coffee Shortage,” they had to go back to the pantry (basically our version of “Go to Jail”).
To keep things fast, we used two dice so each group only needed about 2–3 turns to finish the board. The winning team got silly prizes, plus chocolate coins, because what’s a Carnival without a little candy?
